During the Rotary Convention let's blow the top off of the campaign thermometer! We are in the process of funding a shipment of 700 Rotary Water Barrels and water filters for the people of Haiti.
Roll Out The Barrel was started by a compassionate visionary, Adrian Brewer. Adrian, a Rotarian of course, seeing the senseless burden that those in the developing world must carry just to survive, decided to do something about it.
Roll Out The Barrel in the USA, a project of Social Good Fund was started by an Alabama Rotarian from the Prattville - Millbrook Sunrise Club, Tommie Geohagan. ROTB.US is committed to the people of the Western Hemisphere that must carry water for their survival and daily use. Women and children usually carry out this task, walking long distances and sometimes multiple times per day. Imagine that burden being lightened by a simple device, that costs only about $50 US and provides tremendous lasting benefits. What is this device? It’s the rolling Rotary Water Barrel, which is now being delivered in many countries thanks to the generosity of many. Although focused on the Caribbean, Central and South America, we will help anyone that shoulders this senseless burden!
